Physician Associate or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist

MaineHealth Franklin Hospital is seeking a Physician Associate (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (ACNP) to care for patients in the hospital at MaineHealth Franklin Hospital in Farmington, Maine. The role includes Advanced Practice Providers (APP) evaluating and treating patients primarily on the hospital medicine ward but also include completing admissions as well as providing consultative services to the various sub-specialties within the hospital including the emergency department. The APP will work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team of physicians, nursing staff, care management, and ancillary services to ensure optimal patient care. A great team-based atmosphere with a strong hospital community provides a supportive environment for practitioners to grow their skills by caring for a patient population with complex needs. To facilitate providing exceptional patient care, practitioners will participate in quality initiative programs within the department of hospital medicine.This position is full-time, with a variable, request-based schedule and does include weekend and holiday shifts.New Grads are welcome to apply.

Scheduled hours, 10-hour shifts; daytime shifts (7 am to 5 pm), with the potential for swing shifts (9am to 7pm); Part-time and Full-time opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
  • Experience in hospital medicine preferred, not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively triage, organize and prioritize.
  • Ability to function as part of a team.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

This is a combined day and night position and new grads with a strong neonatal background are encouraged to apply. Float Virtual Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Primary Care

Description Lincoln Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital and proud member of MaineHealth, is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join our experienced and collaborative Primary Care team. As part of MaineHealth’s comprehensive network, Lincoln Hospital’s Primary Care team delivers expert, patient-centered healthcare across multiple locations, including Boothbay Harbor, Damariscotta, Waldoboro, and Wiscasset, Maine. This is a float position requiring travel between multiple primary care office locations around Lincoln County, Maine. The Float Virtual Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide high-quality virtual primary care services across multiple primary care practices within our system. This role supports continuity of care for established patients, assists with new patient onboarding, performs telehealth visits not requiring physical examination, manages provider in-baskets, and contributes to quality improvement initiatives across the network.
