Job Summary: Provides nursing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse of physician/advanced practice provider. Utilizes observational skills to observe nursing intervention and assists medical staff to insure optimal care within established policies, procedures, and standards. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider provides nursing care in accordance with the legal scope of practice and within established standards of care, policies, and procedures. Demonstrates performance consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan of the organization. Demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice and treats coworkers, patients, families, and all members of the health care team with dignity and respect. Essential Responsibilities: Exhibits excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, providers, and co-workers; shows courtesy, compassion, and respect; conforms to the critical service standards established for the department. Provides therapeutic patient care in accordance with the patients established by physician/advanced practice providers and/or a registered nurse within the scope of practice.
