A Float Dialysis Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care at one of DCI’s in-center hemodialysis units as part of a patient care team. Our RNs are integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes are prioritized for every patient.

Schedule: Part-time, 30-36 hours/week, shifts start at 5am; Sundays off; no overnight shifts

Experienced, flexible Hemo RN, who is able to travel to surrounding area clinics. Reliable transportation is necessary.

Compensation: Pay ranges from $38-$41 per hour, depending on dialysis experience

Responsibilities

What You Can Expect:

  • Prepare dialysis machine, its alarms, and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures
  • Ongoing patient education, training and health coaching
  • Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physician and families
  • Administer and chart all prescribed medications
  • Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations
  • Participate in patient care conferences, rounds and chart reviews
  • Document required patient education efforts
  • Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
  • Assist in medication inventory maintenance
  • Lead a small patient care team
  • Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed
  • Additional tasks as requested

Education/Training:

  • Accredited nursing degree required
