JOB SPECIFICS:

Seeking Emergency Medicine APP at OSF Saint Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, IL
~30K ED visits annually
12 Hour Shifts with typically 2 MDs and 1 APP
Monday - Friday will work in PIT (provider in triage) and fast track (ED prompt care setting) from 10am - 10pm. Option to also work 3pm - 3am on Monday where you will work alongside MD.
Weekend shifts are 12pm-12am and will work alongside MD.
No call
Weekend rotation is 1:3

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Licensed to provide either an advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act] OR [physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987 ("Act") Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics.
BLS/ALS Certified
2+ years of experience is preferred, however, new graduates will be considered.

Advanced Practice Provider, Emergency Department

Overview Overview: In accordance with professional standards of care and adhering to the corporate philosophy of OSF Medical Group (OSFMG), the Advanced Practice Nurse/Physician Assistant is responsible for: Perform comprehensive assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with emergent and urgent medical conditions. Provide care across all areas of the Emergency Department, including fast-track, main ED, trauma bays, and observation areas as assigned. Participate in the initial evaluation and stabilization of trauma patients under direction of the trauma and emergency teams. Order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, perform procedures, and initiate appropriate interventions within scope of practice. Manage high-acuity and low-acuity patients while prioritizing care in a dynamic environment. Document all patient encounters clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with emergency physicians, trauma services, nursing staff, consult services, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated, safe, and efficient care. Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up needs. Support ED operations through adherence to departmental protocols, clinical pathways, and quality initiatives. Participate in continuing education, trauma training, and skill development to maintain competency in emergency and trauma care. Three 12-hour shifts per week.
