Premier at Perry Village is seeking a personable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to perform various resident care activities and services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of our nursing home residents, located in New Bloomfield, PA!

Rate: $22-25.03/hour

 

Shifts Available: FT/PT/PRN

 

CNA Job details/Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to care for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neuro and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, infectious disease, and wound care, if applicable.
  • Provides nursing care in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures and ensures the safety and well-being of the residents is maintained.
  • Acts appropriately under the direction of the Charge Nurse and acts as an active member of the inter-disciplinary team.
  • Assists residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and grooming, in accordance with established Care Plan.
  • Ensures that all residents are out of bed according to established Care Plan.
  • Interacts with residents, family members, co-workers, clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgmental, supportive and calm manner.
  • Additional duties as assigned to follow the Care Plan.

CNA Qualifications:

·        Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.

·        Must possess an active Certified Nursing Assistant Certification; having successfully completed a State approved training program and necessary examination.

·        Must provide documentation of certification upon application for position.

Responsible and accountable for performing a wide range of clerical duties and direct patient care activities, depending on the need of the unit. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range in their assigned clinical area. Provides patient care as directed by the licensed nurse, within the nursing assistant scope of practice, in meeting the multidisciplinary care plan established for each patient. Identifies, observes and documents the physical needs of the patient according to established standards. Reports changes in patient condition to licensed personnel in a timely manner. Obtains and maintains the integrity of specimens in accordance with policy and procedure, according to physician order. Provides for or assists patients with activities of daily living and fulfills designated and delegated responsibilities for ongoing continuum of care. Provides one to one patient safety watch as assigned following established policies and procedures.
