Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation of an LPN program
  • Previous experience with referrals/precertification, ICD10 and CPT diagnosis coding

Licensure/Registration/Certification:

 

One of the following:

  • Current Alabama LPN license
  • Current Multi State LPN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

*Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent keyboarding skills

 

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient department/clinic operations. Uses clinical expertise to analyze insurance medical necessity requirements and benefits via provider website to ensure requirements are met for referrals/precertification to be submitted according to Infirmary Health's standards of quality, efficiency and desired outcomes.
