Blended Hourly Rate: $38-$42

LPN/ Licensed Practical Nurse Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Unencumbered Compact Licensed Practical Nurse License or LA State License
  • Must have a tax home 50 miles plus from facility location
  • BLS & ACLS preferred
  • Strong patient assessment skills and demonstrated clinical competency
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries in secure settings
  • Psychotropic medication knowledge (antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, antidepressants, anxiolytics)
  • Ability to adapt quickly
  • Strong communication skills

What does the Nurse do? (including but not limited to) As a Nurse, you are responsible for providing basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including taking vital signs, administering medications, preparing patients for exams, collecting specimens, assisting with procedures, educating patients on self-care, and documenting patient information thoroughly; all while maintaining clear communication with the healthcare team and patients.
