Essential Functions of Transportation Driver / Concierge (CNA):

  • Transports residents, staff, volunteers, and others to scheduled events.
  • Coordinates transportation services with appropriate staff members
  • Assists residents in and out of the vehicle, using proper safety procedures
  • Operates mechanical lift as required for wheelchair bound patients
  • Follows written and verbal before leaving center with residents
  • Obtain appropriate paperwork before leaving center with resident
  • Assess and correct inappropriate resident appearance before leaving center
  • Follow Resident’s Rights
  • Follow center safety protocol
  • Dress professional and represent the center in a professional manner
  • Monitors and reports necessary mechanical maintenance needed to ensure safe operations of vehicle, including reporting of any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
  • Inspects and maintains vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working conditions
  • Maintains records such as vehicle logs and destinations are required
  • Reports any issues or problem that may arise to the Transportation Coordinator and Administrator
  • Complies with state, federal and all other applicable health care and safety standards
  • Room checks- OPEN ROOMS to make sure they are tour ready and move in ready
  • Identify and prepare for pending admissions-work close with the marketing and admissions department
  • Identify and prepare for pending discharges-work with Social Services on this
  • Review the daily menu-check on residents needs/wants
  • Answer call lights
  • Schedule with families on admission the 72-hour meeting and attend them as well
  • Assist dietary and nursing on passing of snacks if needed
  • Make sure when making rounds that the lounge areas look neat and friendly-no trash, outdated material, clean etc.
  • Maintain a “look who is going home” message board outside the therapy area (if resident gives their approval)-these are success stories to share
  • Answer all questions a family or resident may have (if not able to answer, tell them you will find the answer or have the department follow up with them to answer their questions
  • Notify resident about center activities (i.e., bingo, cooking, entertainment, etc.)
  • Check equipment in the rooms
  • Make sure the rooms are clean
  • Additional jobs as assigned

Qualifications of Transportation Driver / Concierge (CNA):

  • High School Diploma or general equivalency is preferred
  • 1 year of experience is preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience is preferred
  • Required valid license as a CNA in the state of Oklahoma
  • Valid State Insurance and License
  • Must be CPR certified
  • Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle
  • Organization and management skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
