Description

1. Completes and documents patient care in a safe, efficient and timely manner in the chart/record.

7. May participate in project management such as Vaccines for Children (VCF) and Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) etc.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the RN Supervisor, this position is responsible for all real time charting for the physicians. The Scribe works to facilitate patient flow through ambulatory clinics and ensure an accurate and complete medical record for each patient. The Scribe assists the medical provider by accompanying them during the medical history-taking and exam, recording patient's histories and chief complaints, transcribing physical exams and recording plans for follow up care.
