Position Details:
Full-Time Position
Monday - Friday Day Shift Schedule + OnCall Responsibility
$15,000 Sign On Bonus with an 24 Month Commitment

Job Summary:

  • Perform duties for the surgical patient in accordance with the Nursing Standards of Care and AORN Standards and will implement and evaluate that care utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Will function as a member of the surgical team linking sterile and non-sterile fields
  • Will organize and oversee the operating room during the surgical procedure by maintaining surgical records, assisting anesthesia as needed, keeping the patient’s family informed of the patient’s condition
  • Assure patient safety and comfort, assisting scrub team in maintaining sterile field, controlling, and maintaining equipment and supplies

Qualifications:

  • Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse
  • Prefer bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Must have a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas

Cuero Regional Hospital is searching for a FT Registered Nurse in our Med/Surg Department. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect total nursing care of the patients on his/her assigned unit during a given period of time. The RN is also responsible for the delegation and supervision of personnel assigned to him/her. The RN has the responsibility and accountability for prescribing, delegating and coordinating all nursing care provided. The RN prescribes nursing care for patients based on the nursing process. The RN coordinates both the nursing care provided to patients and the nursing care provided in conjunction with therapies directed by other disciplines. The RN will assess the health related needs of the patient, plan health care goals, implement therapeutic activities and evaluate the effectiveness of care given.
