Position Summary:
The SRC Dental Case Manager is responsible for the front office management, including Dental training, scheduling, reception, registration of patients.  100% responsible for Dental error reports, timely corrections, enforce use of Dental application for scheduling and DHAT coding. Coordination of Dental ports adding/removing maintenance.
The SRC Dental Case manager is also responsible for the case management support and care coordination to clients and their families who present to the SRC for dental services; coordinate appointments and follow-up for patients on recall lists, treatment plans, and those due for preventive or routine exams. Coordinate with the SRC Operations Managers, DHAT’s, Dental Assistants, and Hospital Dental Providers in meeting census, revenue, and treatment goals.
 
Position Qualifications:
  • AA Degree in Administration or Management preferred.   Minimum of two (2) years of dental experience in preparation with an emphasis in Business/Office Management.   Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Case management and/or direct care work with persons with dental/oral health needs.  Two (2) years’ experience in the field of Dental or similar Community Service. Up to three years overall experience and one year of experience with Dental services can be substituted for an AA Degree in human service/health related field.
  • Office Equipment i.e. Computer, Fax Machine, Copier, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with pediatric and adult patients, their families, and regional and local service providers.
  • Basic communication skills and knowledge of dental services preferred.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, meet deadlines and follow schedules with minimal supervision.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Yup’ik/English bilingual preferred.
  • Dental anatomy, basic dental instrumentation, basic dental assisting and customer service skills.

Center Care Team - Medical Assistant

Job Summary: Core to the ArchWell Health approach is to have a robust clinical care team focused on the needs of our members. The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a critical role in supporting the PCP day-to-day and ensuring efficiency in the care provided to patients. Duties/Responsibilities: Conduct intake with patients, measuring and recording vital signs, patient interview, and medical history; perform examinations and routine screenings, ensuring patients are informed and all questions and concerns are addressed for each procedure. Critically listen and engage with patients throughout appointment, ensuring needs and/or changing in patient conditions are reported to PCP, specialists, and/or other clinical personnel. Perform all tasks with a hyper focus on patient experience, including processing of patient phone messages, including returning calls; routing calls to other team members as appropriate; calling patients to obtain and relay pertinent information for the physician. Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures and other first aid procedures; use CPR skills, when necessary, all under physician supervision. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and conduct accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times. Provide health coaching to a defined group of patients to support healthy lifestyle choices; follows up with coached patients via weekly calls. Required Skills/Abilities: Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and integrity, driven and focused work ethic. Self-starter with the ability to think creatively and work effectively.
