Medication Assistant CMA Level II FT Nights 10000 Bonus

Baptist Health & Rehab, a Cassia community, is hiring Level II Medication Assistants to join our “best of the best” care team. As a Level II Medication Assistant at Baptist Health & Rehab, you will prepare and administer medication as well as perform cares to our residents. Our ideal candidate must hold a valid CNA/CMA Level II license.

Position Type: Full-Time

Shift: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am

Wage Range: $23.08+ / hour depending on experience

Bonus: $10,000

Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) Responsibilities:

Prepare and administer medications in accordance with Baptist Health & Rehab policies.
Review and follow a written care plan.
Measure and record vital signs including pulse, temperature, and blood pressure on new computerized software.
Assist with various resident cares such as answering light calls, feeding and helping residents to the bathroom.
Observe resident behavior and report any changes in condition or behavior to supervisor.
Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties.
Perform other duties as requested.

Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) Qualifications:

Must hold current, valid CNA/ Level II CMA licenses in the state of North Dakota.
Communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
Excellent customer service skills.
Team player who has a passion for elder care and adapts quickly to changing situations.
Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.

Center Care Team - Medical Assistant

Job Summary: Core to the ArchWell Health approach is to have a robust clinical care team focused on the needs of our members. Care teams are responsible for delivering excellent and compassionate primary care and coordinating the care of our members with the broader healthcare delivery system. S/he will be expected to assist in assessing patient’s health conditions, including performing routine diagnostic testing during appointments. Duties/Responsibilities: Conduct intake with patients, measuring and recording vital signs, patient interview, and medical history; perform examinations and routine screenings, ensuring patients are informed and all questions and concerns are addressed for each procedure. Critically listen and engage with patients throughout appointment, ensuring needs and/or changing in patient conditions are reported to PCP, specialists, and/or other clinical personnel. Perform all tasks with a hyper focus on patient experience, including processing of patient phone messages, including returning calls; routing calls to other team members as appropriate; calling patients to obtain and relay pertinent information for the physician. Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures and other first aid procedures; use CPR skills, when necessary, all under physician supervision. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and conduct accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times. Provide health coaching to a defined group of patients to support healthy lifestyle choices; follows up with coached patients via weekly calls. Required Skills/Abilities: Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and integrity, driven and focused work ethic. Self-starter with the ability to think creatively and work effectively. Ability to work effectively with various seniorities and diverse populations including staff, providers, members, family members, insurance carriers, vendors and market leadership. Strong communicator that is customer oriented. Excellent critical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to analyze situations, determine risks, and find solutions to prevent future issues and resolve recurring defects. Experience with claims/quality reports and analytical software packages. Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and presentation software. Ability to travel on occasion for company meetings. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) required. Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program OR comparable healthcare vocational training (i.e. foreign-trained physician, paramedic, etc.) required. A minimum of 1 year work experience as a Medical Assistant. 6+months' phlebotomy experience is highly desired. BLS for Healthcare Providers required. EClinical Works or similar EMR experience. Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.
