LPN School Contract

A contract nursing opportunity is available in Anderson, SC, seeking an experienced RN or LPN to provide 1:1 nursing care for a high school student. This role involves working closely with a cognitively high-functioning student who is paralyzed and requires specialized support, including ventilator care for candidates with LPN ventilation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled nursing care on a 1:1 basis during school hours.
  • Assist with medical needs and monitor student health throughout the school day.
  • Provide ventilator support as needed.
  • Accompany the student during school bus rides to ensure safety and care.
  • Work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with Wednesdays off.
  • Maintain clear communication with school staff regarding the student’s health status.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN or LPN/LVN license.
  • Experience working in school nursing settings preferred.
  • LPNs with ventilation experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to handle bus transportation requirements.
  • Compassionate and attentive to the unique needs of a paralyzed, cognitively high-functioning student.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Schedule & Hours:
