Summary

The Emergency Department Case Manager – Utilization Review RN provides real‑time medical necessity review, care coordination, and discharge planning for ED and ED‑admitted patients. This role combines case management and utilization review to ensure appropriate status (observation vs. inpatient). The RN collaborates closely with ED providers to support safe and efficient patient flow and throughput.

Looking for an RN with background in an Emergency Department/clinical background with preferable case management review experience or exposure.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital patient care experience required
  • Current unrestricted register nurse license in the State of Nevada
  • Organizational skills, excellent verbal & written communication skills, ability to lead, coordinate diverse group in fast paced environment, critical thinking, problem solving and negotiation skills


Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Preferred 2 years of experience as acute care case manager
  • Ability to obtain Accredited Case Manager (ACM) certification
