**Job Description: Clinical Nurse II S (PRN)**

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Nurse II S to join our Pediatric Infusion and Testing Center team on a PRN (pro re nata/as needed) basis. We are located within University of Maryland Medical Center on the Downtown Campus. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care, demonstrating clinical expertise and a commitment to patient-centered care in a dynamic ambulatory clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Pediatric patients 21 years and younger in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team promptly.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and safety procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Flexibility to train and work in other pediatric ambulatory settings on site

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to work PRN shifts as needed.
  • Experience with IV placement and phlebotomy required
  • BLS required
  • Pediatric Nursing Experience Required

Work Schedule

  • PRN 8am-430pm
