School Registered Nurse | Monticello, Minnesota

Provide specialized nursing care for a medically fragile student in a school setting, supporting their health and educational needs with expert clinical attention.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 nursing care to a student requiring tracheostomy management, ventilator support, and continuous G-J tube feedings
  • Administer and monitor treatments for seizure disorder and adrenal insufficiency, including nasally administered medications as needed
  • Change ostomy bags and manage related equipment to maintain comfort and hygiene
  • Provide respiratory support using a nebulizer and monitor respiratory status closely
  • Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care planning
  • Maintain detailed health records and communicate effectively with the students care team

Qualifications:

  • Active Minnesota registered nurse (RN) license is mandatory
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required
  • Proven experience in tracheostomy care essential
  • Pediatric nursing experience preferred
  • Strong observational skills and ability to respond quickly to medical emergencies

Location: Monticello, MN Onsite at a school facility

Schedule: 38 hours per week, contract position
