General Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider

Job Description​ Cardiology Job Description This Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position is a full-time role located primarily at: St. Luke's East. The primary patient population is adult. This role is clinic only seeing general cardiology patients and patients with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). No inpatient rounding. No weekends or holidays. Monday-Friday, 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30am-5:30pm. Variable day schedule. The employee will be responsible for the medical management of the Cardiology patient population within the scope of an Advanced Practice Provider. The employee will have successfully completed a Master’s degree (or higher level of educational program) and have met the requirements for the respective State Board(s) (Missouri and Kansas). The APP will hold and maintain a national certification and licensure as required by State Boards and Saint Luke’s Health System, as well as other certification as obligatory for this role. Cardiology disease processes the APP will be expected to accurately diagnose and treat include general cardiology with a focus subspecialized patient populations as indicated. Job Description​ Our GI clinic in Overland Park is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team! This position is approximately 70% on the phones and 30% rooming. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, equally comfortable dealing with insurance companies and patient concerns. On the phones, you will work with prior authorizations, medication refills, scheduling, referrals, and procedure follow up care. Our rooming expectations are standard – obtain vitals, perform medication reconciliation, and review medical history. Previous GI experience is a plus, but not required. We support our GI providers as a team. You should be comfortable taking notes and adapting to multiple providers. Our patients can be very sick so we need someone compassionate and understanding when handling calls from upset patients. If you are organized, can take direction well but not be afraid to ask questions as needed, and are a strong team member who is willing to jump in and help then this position may be for you!
