Lift and transfer individuals as needed. Provide a safe living environment for individuals through compliance with agency policies, OSHA and other safety standards. Train individuals in responding to nighttime fire drills, conduct regular drills and ensure the safe evacuation of individuals from the program during a fire or fire drill. Provide transportation of individuals to day programs as needed Assist individuals with home maintenance and perform cleaning duties as assigned. Implement established treatment programs. Report significant health, psychiatric or behavioral issues to the on-call person in accordance with program procedure. Prepare summaries of interaction and objective behavioral observations of individuals at the end of shift; clinical notes and data collection using Microsoft Outlook. Perform physical intervention in the event of an individual’s crisis. Attend trainings as assigned; maintain necessary certifications (CPR/First Aid, MAP, SOLVE, HR/DPPC).
