Location: Dodson Medical Office Building Department: Urology Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: Cook Children's is growing their Pediatric Urology team and has a full-time opportunity for a Pediatric Urology Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The NP/PA, Surgical functions in a collaborative practice with physician(s) in the outpatient and inpatient setting. Autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according to approved protocols. Develops and maintains own volume of patients under the supervision of a physician. Provides practice/clinic/call coverage and may round for physician(s) during periods of absence. Prescribes a variety of modalities to meet wellness and illness needs, up to and including hospital rounding/consultation, assisting in surgery if appropriate and prescriptive authority. Education and Experience Advanced Practice Registered Nurses Master’s Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience or related specialized area strongly preferred. Physician Assistants Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies and minimum 1 year of experience in related specialized area strongly preferred. Location: Dodson Medical Office Building Department: Cln-Neurosurgery Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: Coordinate scheduling of patients, physicians, staff, equipment, and site/space for epilepsy patients. Coordinate all necessary paperwork and orders in a timely fashion for In-patient admission, ancillary testing and clinic patients. Participates actively in all phases of the procedure. Qualifications: Associate Nursing required, BSN preferred RN experience 3-5 years experience. Possess excellent interpersonal skills. Neurology background would be ideal, but not necessary. Computer literacy and working knowledge of excel, access, power point, word. Certification/Licensure: Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas. Current BLS Certification. Will obtain PALS certification within two years from their date of hire/transfer date. Other certification may be required by department.
