Summary Occasionally JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Oncology unit specializes in the care of acutely ill adults and of those who require Cancer treatment and care. Oncology patients are given the highest standards of professional care by registered nurses and nurse assistants. Specialty certification in Oncology is strongly encouraged and supported. Telemetry monitoring is available for the patients requiring stable cardiac monitoring. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire. GSR Oncology Tele 3S: ACLS required within 90 days of hire. Successful completion of SHS ECG Monitoring class or an equivalent course approved by management required within six (6) months of hire. Oncology experience preferred. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Social Perceptiveness: Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Mental Health teams at Samaritan Health Services provide a full range of professional mental health services through a team of highly skilled psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners and licensed clinical social workers. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required. Other certifications may be required for department specific positions. Summary Occasionally JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Ambulatory Surgery provides pre, intra and post op care to surgical and procedural sedation patients. We provide service for the patient population of pediatrics, adolescents, adult and elderly patients. We work with a variety of provider specialties in caring for people going home that day or are being admitted to the hospital. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire. GSR Surgery Ambulatory - Short Stay: ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire. IV skills required. One (1) year experience as a general duty nurse with an emphasis in surgical nursing preferred.
