Typical Work Schedule:  Monday to Friday, 8:00 am -12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm 
Hourly Range: $20.00 - 25.00 (based on level of experience.)

Dr. Mashayekhi brings her expertise and patient-focused approach to this new venture, ensuring personalized attention for every visitor.   
Joining our dedicated team, we seek a Medical Assistant to support our operations across all locations. 

Essential Functions:                  

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively and proactively in a dynamic, fast-paced clinic setting.
  • Proficiency in managing both virtual and in-person patient appointments.
  • Skilled in scheduling appointments, guiding new patients, and facilitating the transition of patients from previous practices.
  • Competence in navigating and utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Responsible for preparing patient charts, including organizing documents for sleep studies, lab results, and CURES, for upcoming weeks.
  • Acquiring CPAP data downloads and collaborating closely with local Durable Medical Equipment (DME) providers.
  • Take patient histories, vital signs, and assist with patient inquiries. 
  • Assisting in the creation of History of Present Illness (HPI) notes.
  • Capable of administering intramuscular B12 and sample injections on occasion.
  • Handling authorizations for patient referrals and prior authorizations for medications.
  • Training in the use of PAP masks and assisting patients with fitting sample PAP masks.
  • Experience in sleep medicine, neurology, pulmonary, or ENT is highly desirable.
  • Performing autoclaving tasks approximately twice a week.
Additional Job Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Acquiring CPAP data downloads and collaborating closely with local Durable Medical Equipment (DME) providers.
  • Capable of administering intramuscular B12 and sample injections on occasion.
Highly Desirable
  • Training in the use of CPAP masks and assisting patients with fitting sample PAP masks.
  • Experience in sleep medicine, psychiatry/behavioral health, neurology, pulmonology, cardiology or ENT
  • Fast typing skills and experience with Microsoft Applications like Outlook and Teams
  • Medical Assistant Certificate preferred
 
 Competencies & Success Factors:                  
  • A Medical Assistant Certificate is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a comparable role within the healthcare sector is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to ensure effective interactions with patients and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, particularly in managing patient records and clinical responsibilities.
  • Proficient in the use of EMR systems and knowledgeable in medical terminology.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and poise under pressure.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
