Position Title: Bilingual Medical Assistant ( English and Vietnamese) Location: Heart and Wellness Center (National City) Employment Type: Full-Time Shift Type: 8 hours Salary Range: $23.00 – $26.00 (Based on experience) About Us: Heart and Wellness Center is a leading private Cardiology group in San Diego County, offering personalized heart care. Our team of board-certified cardiologists and multilingual support staff provides comprehensive and compassionate care for disorders of the heart and circulatory system. With multiple services including nuclear imaging, vascular ultrasounds, and echocardiograms, our practice utilizes state-of-the-art technology for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases. We are committed to guiding our patients towards improved cardiovascular health and quality of life. Responsibilities: Provide patient care assistance and participate in medical procedures. Efficient/timely rooming of patients, perform EKGs Efficiently manage and organize patient records and schedules. Offer patient education on maintaining health and disease prevention. Comply with strict safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines. Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive patient information. Undertake various administrative tasks as required. Accurately prepare and update patient medical charts, including recording vital signs, medication details, lab results, and physician orders. Facilitate patient check-in process, collect co-pays, and update demographic/insurance information. Organize and schedule appointments, cardiac studies, and departmental coordination. Handle incoming calls, emails, and voicemails, ensuring effective communication with the medical team. Process, organize, and submit medical records to healthcare providers, facilities, and insurance carriers. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and the workplace. Participate in administrative duties and special projects as needed. Be prepared for extended periods of seated work, repetitive tasks, and occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds). Minimum Qualifications: Must be fluent in English and Vietnamese Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or similar qualification. At least 2 years of experience in a medical office environment. Proficiency in typing (35 WPM) and Microsoft Office Suite. Reliable personal transportation. Competencies & Success Factors: An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is advantageous. Experience in cardiology is a plus. A high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for Medical Assistant Certification. Previous experience in a healthcare setting. Skilled in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and familiar with medical terminology. Ability to efficiently handle high-pressure situations. Title: Medical Assistant Location: La Mesa CA Salary Range: $24-$32 per hour Responsibilities: As our Medical Assistant, your role will be divided between clinical and administrative responsibilities. In your clinical role, you will assist in the provision of care to our patients in our fast-paced practice. Duties will include performing or assisting with procedures such as vital signs, blood glucose testing, urine albumin tests, and retina scans. You will also be required to report and record critical test results, administer test substances, download CGM systems and insulin pumps, stock exam rooms, and input external lab/imaging results into our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system (Allscripts Touchworks or Epic).
