Surgical Technician

Job Duties:

The Surgical Technician is responsible for the set-up of the surgical procedure, including the endoscopy procedures. Responsible for the setting up of surgery instruments and tables, and assist with draping of patients. Anticipate the surgeons’ needs to help keep everything running smoothly. To prepare, process, store, distribute and record the supplies handled through the Sterile Processing department.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or on the job trained. Current BLS; Certification as a surgical technician preferred.

 

Registered Nurse

Job Duties:

Works collaboratively with patients, families an other health care providers to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of assigned patients. Follows nursing Standards of Practice to ensure quality, safe patient care. Provides supervisory oversight to assigned staff, and effectively manages supplies, equipment and other resources. The OR/PACU (Surgery) RN position is part of the on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

Nursing Associate Degree or Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. ACLS and PALS within one year of hire.

Shift Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:00a-3:00p, potentially varying slightly depending on case load schedule. This is part of the on-call rotation (20-30 minutes for call back time).
