Due to our high acuity, team members in this role can anticipate caring for and monitoring high acuity patients whose acuity is a blend between progressive care and ICU in a 1:3 nurse to patient ratio. You will also encounter patients with a wide variety of backgrounds, disease processes, and interventions due to being a bridge between our Acuity Adaptable unit and our MICU/SICU. In this role, candidates will learn and perform the following: Q1 hour vital signs/neuro checks, elective cardioversion, stable ventilator management, and arterial BP monitoring. You will also be exposed and expected to titrate various stable drips such as: low dose vasopressors (dopamine and levophed), intropes (milrinone and dobutamine), antihypertensives (Nitroglycerin, Nicardipine), Dexmed, Ativan, Narcan, , ketamine, lidocaine, Adenosine, Esmolol, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, epidurals, insulin and more.
