Additional Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY : The Pre-Admissions Testing Advanced Practice Professional (APP), which may include Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs), plays a key role in ensuring patients are medically optimized and safely prepared for surgical and procedural interventions. The APP conducts comprehensive pre-operative evaluations, coordinates necessary testing, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to identify and mitigate risks prior to surgery. This role emphasizes patient education, evidence-based decision making, and seamless care transitions to improve perioperative outcomes and enhance patient experience. The APP participates in the education of residents and medical/nursing students. Provide healthcare services consistent with state law and the requirements of the professional licensing or certification authority and/or hospital privileges, where applicable.
