Overview We are looking to add a passionate Nocturnist APP to our established hospitalist program. This position will be responsible for admitting, consulting, and cross coverage for our hospital. Responsibilities Responsible for admitting, consulting and cross coverage for the hospital Average number of nightly admits is 6 patients per shift Manage 10 bed ICU, 30+ bed PCU (med/surg, tele) High patient acuity but have physician pager backup if needed; hospitalist director always available if needed Specialty services available Qualifications Experienced APP is preferred but we are willing to train a new graduate Working Hours - 12 hour shifts (7pm-7am), 7 days on/14 days off, Tuesday through Monday

As the Nurse, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating patient care and clinical supervision of support staff. You will assess patient health problems and needs, develop, and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Responsibilities Supervision is based on standard medical orders from the physician. However, this position is legally responsible for his/her nursing actions. You will receive limited supervision and work is reviewed for general adequacy in judgment and conformance with policy. Personal Work Relationships: Works in collaboration with other disciplines daily. You will need to maintain a professional attitude and can communicate nursing principles to others. You will interact with patients, families, guardians, and health care representatives to educate and promote safety and welfare as allowed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPM) guidelines. You will serve as an advocate for the patient. You will need to communicate and work with support staff to promote a safe environment.
Responsibilities Works under general supervision in preparing and maintaining the sterile operative area of the patient before, during, and after operation. Places equipment and supplies in OR according to surgeon's preference cards. Assists during surgery in a number of ways such as to don gowns and gloves, adjust surgical equipment, hand surgeon instruments, hold retractors and count sponges, needles, and instruments used during the operation. Keep surgeons preference card information current. Able to clean, decontaminate and sterilize surgical instruments and supplies. Cross trained to function adequately in Central Sterile and receiving and decontamination. Qualifications Work requires proficiency in the application of sterile procedures in an operating room setting. Requires graduation from a surgical technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation. Work requires immediate response to emergency procedures which requires individual to respond within thirty minutes to the Hospital, as well as have a phone.
