Responsibilities include conducting various cardiac tests to monitor patients' heart and blood vessel conditions using diverse cardiology equipment, preparing procedure rooms, prepping patients for procedures, obtaining, and recording patient information, assisting physicians in procedure by circulating procedures, X-ray fluoroscopy proficiency, performing blood work analyses, and operating intra-cardiac ultrasound. Directs and practices safety guidelines for themselves, staff, and patients. Independently functions during diagnostic and interventions procedures. Maintains a high level of expertise in specialty procedures within their assigned lab. Within the Cath Lab, this may include structural heart procedures and hemodynamics; within Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, RN’s perform device and electrophysiology procedures (EP), and operate 3D mapping systems.
