Qualifications Position Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred. One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred. Licensure and registration by the Tennessee Board of Nurse Examiners or Compact as a registered nurse. Prefer knowledge of effective teaching skills and educational strategies with a special education population, individual and group management skills, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development; limit setting and crisis and behavior management. Physical Demands The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
