Responsibilities What You'll Do: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is vital in delivering comprehensive care to both youth and adults, focusing on the administration and documentation of medications, transcribing provider orders, and performing continuous assessments. The role encompasses gathering detailed data on behavioral and physical health, including substance use history, and accurately documenting observed behaviors and interventions. Additionally, the LPN is responsible for educating individuals and their families about behavioral health diagnoses and medications during both admission and discharge, aiming to enhance treatment adherence and overall care outcomes. Overview The Registered Nurse (RN)-Nights & Weekends is prepared to handle all on-going needs, in addition to urgent needs of patients and their families after hours in their homes or facility. The RN Nights & Weekends follows the established care plan of the patient while ensuring comfort care to the patient and support to family members. Location: Arlnngton, Alexandria, Falls Church area Schedule: Every other weekend day shift, some night shifts and some holidays. COVID-19 vaccine required to be completed upon start. Responsibilities The RN Nights & Weekends visits patients with emergent, critical needs in a timely manner. The RN Nights & Weekends arranges for, teaches, and supervises nursing care of patients in home care and facility settings in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team. The RN Nights & Weekends makes nursing assessments and uses critical thinking skills to provide care based on evidence-based practice, within scope of practice. May be asked to rotate to other regions/departments. Qualifications Experience Requirements: Must have one year of staff nurse experience in a comparable setting/unit. Hospice and/or palliative care experience is strongly preferred. Education Requirements: Must have a degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
