Fairview Hospital’s 5 Pavilion Complex Medical Care and Telemetry unit has a dedicated team of caregivers that provide top-quality inpatient acute care to adults recovering from a wide variety of conditions, such as pneumonia, heart failure and chest pain, as well as monitor pre-operative and post-operative surgical patients. This unit prides themselves on teamwork and has been nominated for the Cleveland Clinic Nursing Team Excellence Award several times and won the award in 2015. As an RN, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working various shifts between 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with weekend and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care. Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions. Administer prescribed medications and treatments. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Educate patients and their families. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) External applicants: two years of recent related nursing experience Internal applicants: less than two years’ experience but post orientation /90-day probationary period could be considered with Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval Will consider licensed military RN experience Prior med/surg experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
