Job Overview The RN Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day ‘back office’ operations of the clinic by overseeing the employees providing nursing care to the clinic patients, as well as implementing and assuring quality medical management and cost containment health services to patients. The Supervisor works with the Site Medical Director, Clinic Director, Administrative Leadership team, and RN Manager to achieve clinic quality, patient satisfaction, and financial goals, and ensure all staff are up to date with clinic objectives, such as quality boards, present progress on clinic objectives at staff meetings, etc. The Supervisor provides leadership to the nursing team and support as a mentor to Staff and oversees patient care services, including the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation/improvement of clinical care services/programs, which includes patient experience, patient safety, HEDIS quality measures, financial goals, etc. The Supervisor also implements, maintains, and evaluates clinical and patient care practice standards, budgets, and staff development. The Supervisor manages operations and services that add value and are integrated with nursing standards of practice, service priorities. Lastly, the Supervisor is responsible for performance and outcome measures, as well as strategic, business, and organizational goals/objectives. Minimum Requirements A bachelor’s degree in nursing, coupled with a minimum of 1 year of leadership experience, is required. Master’s degree in health services, business administration, or management preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience providing patient care in an outpatient/inpatient setting, with preferred experience in staff supervision A current, valid license as a registered nurse through the California Board of Registered Nursing is required. Experience with audits and health care inspections, preferred. Prior experience with an Electronic Health/Medical (EHR/EMR) system is preferred. A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines. Bilingual English/Spanish/Chinese, preferred, depending upon the site. Pre-op Coordinator for Casa Colina Surgery Center Reports to : Director of nursing Responsibilities: 1. Contact the patient once the surgery has been scheduled to conduct pre-op call a. Outlines overall experience and expectations with the patient (pre-op/PACU/Anesthesia) b. Facilitates completion of patient's medical history. If the center uses an online pre-op registration system, this information should be reviewed with the patient verbally, as well. Ensures a comprehensive and thourough medical history is taken to validate eligibility and compliance with the patient selection criteria. Overview The role of the RN First Assistant to the surgeon requires the performance of a combination or nursing and medical functions. The RNFA practices advanced surgical assisting skills such as providing exposure, tissue handling, suturing, providing hemostasis, and using surgical instruments.
