Job Summary Independently provides safe and effective patient care to Intravenous Outpatient Department (IVOP) patients during the course of their treatment. Uses the nursing process to determine care needs, plan to address those needs, and determine desired outcomes. Assesses the patient for learning needs and provides education and support as indicated. Makes referrals to the Care Manager for patients requiring social, support, and financial assistance during treatment. Supports and participates in performance and quality improvement activities within the IVOP department. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required: • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland. • Must have 3 years of experience practicing as a registered nurse in a hospital, infusion clinic, or home health setting. • Certification from the Infusion Nurses Society and/or the Oncology Nursing Society preferred. • Current CPR certification.
