Accountable for timely completion of patient care assessments and care plans. Manages timely patient schedules to ensure facility efficiency and develops action plans for missed treatments. Plans, coordinates, and validates patient eligibility for treatment. Reports changes in patient status regarding any clinical, insurance, or travel and transportation issues. STAFF: Participates in the selection and hiring of new team members and ensures completion of new hiring orientation and mandatory trainings. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor under the leadership of the Assistant Director is responsible and accountable for supervising the daily operations related to Acute Psychiatric Services which includes supporting the care of psychiatric patients of all ages including children, adolescents, and adults through the care continuum of psychiatric clinical programs including but not limited to inpatient psychiatry, psychiatric consultation, and psychiatric observation. This role balances the responsibilities of overseeing patient care with collaborative oversight of the unit's overall operations. Responsibilities include overseeing staffing, patient clinical quality of care, psychiatric patient flow, patient experience and as needed supporting psychiatric patient care. This role includes providing staff coaching, training, policy/procedure oversight, staff mentorship, and financial stewardship related to staffing and timecard accuracy. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor embodies the department and organization’s mission to deliver safe, high-quality patient care and to act as a good steward of resources. Supervision of staff includes nurses, social workers, therapists, behavioral specialists, ancillary and support staff.
